Bringing an Italian technology to a new market requires a local partner and a place to showcase it. TimelapseLab found both in Seoul: from February to June 2026, its construction-site monitoring solutions were on display at High Street Italia, thanks to its collaboration with Xpanner, the company’s official partner in South Korea.
High Street Italia is the permanent Made in Italy showroom promoted by ITA – Italian Trade Agency, in the Garosu-gil neighbourhood of Gangnam: one of the city’s most dynamic and international districts. The space dedicated to TimelapseLab, on the second floor, was set up on 20 February by the Xpanner team, which also handled the production of the banner on site and liaised with the venue.
The exhibition presented the group’s entire ecosystem. Alongside the TimelapseLab device were the Avacam housing, the solution dedicated to monitoring landslides and slopes, and materials from Youmarell, the web platform designed to make the construction site visible and transparent to the outside world. Brochures and information materials completed the display, showing how the different tools come together in a single offering.
The collaboration also had a direct follow-up. In early May, after taking part in Sushi Tech in Tokyo, CEO Damiano Bauce travelled to Seoul to meet the Xpanner team at the company’s headquarters and visit the showroom, consolidating a relationship built remotely over the previous months.
For a company developing site monitoring solutions, entering a foreign market means first and foremost making itself known. Being present in an institutional space dedicated to Made in Italy, with a partner who knows the construction sector, the language and local business practices, makes it possible to meet contacts who would be very difficult to reach remotely.
TimelapseLab’s experience in Seoul confirms the direction the company has taken: taking solutions born on Italian construction sites beyond Italy – from monitoring through periodic images with automatic blurring of faces and number plates to time-lapse content that tells the story of months of work in just a few minutes – relying on local partners able to present them in the right context.
