What is 3D animation?

It is the process of generating three-dimensional moving images in a digital environment.
3D models or objects are manipulated within the 3D software to export image sequences giving them the illusion of 3D animations or movements.

3D rendering - How is a 3D animated video made?

The solid and three-dimensional shapes are born as a 3D model, then coated with textures to be colored. A real digital “harness” is then prepared, a 3D rendering, that allows the movement of the model, as do the strings of a puppet (called rigging), and finally manipulated by an 3D animators.

PRE-PRODUCTION

a) Taking charge of 3d models provided by the customer

b) Creation of the first draft of the storyboard and identification of the visual style for the infographics

c) Meeting to receive any comments or requests for changes
Following this first phase, any changes to this estimate will be communicated or the necessary changes will be made to the project to meet deadlines and budgets.

PRODUCTION

a) Adaptation and conversion of 3D geometries provided by the customer to make them suitable for animation

b) Modeling of missing or present parts at the proxy level within the received 3d models

c) Set up / rig of the previously developed models

d) Animation of the rooms and models on the basis of the approved storyboard

e) Verification animatic export

f) Creation of materials and sets of lights ** Animatic means a pre-assembled video exported from viewport with non-indicative infographics but as a time-stamp placeholder.

** During this phase verification images will be delivered for approval

POST-PRODUCTION

a) Final render 1920×1080

b) Compositing and color correction files calculated during the rendering phase

c) Infographic insertion and animation

d) Video editing

e) Insert soundtrack from database if required
