TimelapseLab blurring software makes people and vehicles in the shots unrecognizable and unidentifiable to guarantee privacy on-site. The blurring, operated in an automated way by the software, is irreversible and involves all the data cited by the legislation on personal data: not only faces, hairstyles, but also identification data such as the license plate numbers of the captured vehicles, vehicles, etc.
To make videos compliant with GDPR on the construction sites we blur faces and bodies. The blurring applied is softened slightly so as not to have a sharp contrast between blurred pixels and non-blurred pixels, which are rectangular or elliptical. The latter is the most used for the obfuscation of people as it perfectly follows the features, making it aesthetically pleasing. So the construction site GDPR is granted.
The blurring of areas occurs once the points that make up the perimeter of the areas to be blurred have been defined, guaranteeing privacy compliance. The defined area will be blurred in all images taken by the device. This feature is very important for blurring areas not inherent to the construction site, such as residential ones.
The software uses artificial intelligence to automatically obfuscate vehicles and license plates, making unrecognizable information classified as “personal data” by current regulations such as GDPR on construction sites.
