TimelapseLab monitors with its devices the launche of the LSS ship “Atlante” Fincantieri

On May 18, 2024, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Castellammare di Stabia, the launching ceremony of the LSS ship “Atlante” took place, in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy, Admiral Enrico Credendino, and important representatives of Fincantieri, including Chairman Claudio Graziano, CEO Pierroberto Folgiero, and General Manager of the Military Ships Division, Dario Deste.

The ship “Atlante”, the second of its type, will be delivered to the Italian Navy in 2025, following the path of the first unit, the “Vulcano” ship, delivered in 2021. This new logistic support is an integral part of the Italian Navy’s fleet renewal plan.

The launching ceremony emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Italian Navy and Fincantieri in enhancing the operational and logistical capabilities of the fleet. The “Atlante” ship will be a key element in defending the country’s interests, protecting Euro-Atlantic spaces, contributing to international security, and providing assistance in case of disasters.

TimelapseLab, through the TL8 VF device, provides accurate monitoring of the construction and completion works of the ship starting from June 2023, with a detailed and continuous report of the progress of the works. This collaboration demonstrates TimelapseLab’s commitment to supporting strategically relevant projects with advanced technological solutions.

With the delivery of the “Atlante” ship, the Italian Navy will have at its disposal a versatile and advanced resource capable of performing a wide range of operations, ensuring efficient logistical support and contributing to national and international security.
