TimeLapseLab

Damiano Bauce is a computer engineer who founded TimeLapseLab in Mantua, Italy, in 2019, and serves as its CEO. He designs the company’s industrial time lapse devices and the software platform that construction firms, shipyards and industrial plants use to follow their sites remotely.

His role at TimeLapseLab

As founder and CEO he leads the development of the hardware — industrial cameras built to stay on site without maintenance — and of the monitoring software, which automatically recognises vehicles and people and flags events that fall outside the rules. Construction-site images are personal data: the system was designed to handle them in compliance with the GDPR.

What he works on

  • time lapse and monitoring of construction, shipbuilding and industrial sites
  • self-sufficient industrial devices for outdoor environments
  • computer vision applied to workplace safety
  • GDPR compliance for construction-site imagery
  • remote construction-site management platforms

In his words

“A high-quality image, compliant with all privacy regulations, managed on a platform that is intuitive to use and enhanced by Artificial Intelligence, could become a very important asset, and it did.”
