Timelapselab will collaborate with the Italian Guardia di Finanza at Cantieri Navali Vittoria during the construction of the first green offshore patrol vessel built for the yellow flames. The construction site will last 12 months and only one TL8 device will be used.
The boat, about 60 meters long, will be the first green offshore patrol vessel in the fleet supplied by the Fiamme Gialle and will be used to carry out economic and financial police functions at sea. 60 meters long, about 10 meters wide and with a draft of over 4 meters, the new OPV of Casa Vittoria will have the particular ax bow able to guarantee excellent seaworthiness even in difficult weather and sea conditions and without having to limit the speed and the characteristic of being a vehicle with low emissions and reduced environmental impact thanks to the presence of a hybrid engine. The presence of two auxiliary electric generators for propulsion at low patrol speeds, around 8-9 knots, will ensure very low emission levels compared to the use of traditional internal combustion engines, reduced fuel consumption and low noise, ideal for this. type of boats that carry out its activity at “patrol” speed, that is, at low or very low speed. The unit will obtain the Efficient Ship Eedi notations (Energy Efficiency Design Index), additional class notation dedicated to the energy efficiency of ships, Green Plus and Green Passport Plus linked to environmental impact, all issued by RINA. Timelapse Lab will follow the entire shipyard via a TL8 device for a duration of 12 months.
